Discover stone-cutting and slate-mining in the quarry of the village of Recht.
The Recht slate quarry is comprised of an 800 m underground trail that includes an observation bridge with spectacular views on the quarry itself. The quarry was most active during the 18th and 20th centuries and stone-cutting was a trade that was well-developed in the area. If you plan on visiting the quarry, make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and to get a tour guide who can explain to you every detail of this fascinating place.
